As a Business Development Manager for our new Venue vertical, you will be responsible for developing our catalogue of partnered venues and their quality. You will be required to understand and uncover the client's needs to ensure Poptop offers the best solution.

We are currently seeking an individual who is not only an enthusiastic lover of events & music but will confidently manage, grow and educate our portfolio of venue suppliers. This is the ideal position for somebody who is eager to learn and potentially progress within a small but fast-growing tech startup company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Help on-boarding venue suppliers to the platform
  • Maintain key relationships with new and current venue suppliers
  • Educating suppliers on new features Poptop has to offer, and keeping a strong sales record by converting suppliers
  • Schedule daily calls with our venue suppliers
  • Provide ongoing customer support to our venue suppliers
  • Help suppliers to manage their bookings and establish effective communication with clients
  • Ongoing assistance in boosting supplier performance
  • Provide weekly reports on KPI progress & current targets


  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral
  • Ambitious, eager to learn and committed to personal and team success
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Google Drive online services
  • Experience with ecommerce, sales, and metrics preferred
  • You will need to be, target-driven and Customer focussed, with a proven sales record
  • 2 years of experience in an event-planning or sales role required
  • Previous experience and knowledge of working inside or alongside a venue preferred
  • Highly detail-oriented
